With both Westwood and Sholver residents, we did a walking tour of the neighbourhoods to understand the on-the-ground experience of walking in the local area. This prompted community discussions around how people travel within the neighbourhood and further afield to key destinations
For our second workshop, we interviewed Melissa and Alison in Sholver and Ibrahim in Westwood to hear their thoughts on energy efficiency in their homes and what they had learned in the workshop.
We began our exploration into how Sholver and Westwood communities can improve their neighbourhoods and tackle climate change in the place where we tend to start most journeys – at home…
Over the next 7 workshops, we will have an in-depth look at themes like energy efficiency in the home, transport and renewable energy and do a bit of a health check on where each place is at and what local needs and opportunities are.
